Niraj Doshi

Senior Vice President, R&D, Program Management, and Business Development

Dr. Doshi is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in the medical device and healthcare industries, specializing in research and development, program management, business development, and regulatory strategy. Since joining AVITA Medical in 2018, he has played a central role in advancing the company’s acute therapeutic wound care portfolio, leading the global launch of three products and guiding successful strategic distribution partnerships that fueled double-digit growth.

Previously, Dr. Doshi held senior leadership roles at Siemens Healthineers, where he helped drive more than 30 global product launches and was recognized as a Siemens “Top Talent,” an honor awarded to the top 1% of employees worldwide. He also held executive roles at 4Catalyzer companies, where he contributed to the development and launch of groundbreaking technologies including Butterfly Network’s iQ handheld ultrasound and Hyperfine’s Swoop portable MRI.

Dr. Doshi’s cross-functional expertise spans product development, operations, quality and regulatory affairs, intellectual property, and corporate strategy. He holds more than 15 patents, has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications, and has been internationally recognized with the Red Dot Product Design Award and the Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award.

He earned a PhD in Biomedical Physics and a BS in Cybernetics from UCLA, an MS in Medical Radiation Physics from Rosalind Franklin University, and an Executive Juris Doctorate in Law and Technology from Purdue Global Law School. He has also completed executive education programs at Harvard and Wharton’s Business Schools.
