Clinical Outcomes: Patient Outcomes
THE PURSUIT OF SKIN RESTORATION
Our goal is to enable healthcare care professionals to achieve skin restoration for the patients they treat using the RECELL® System.
PATIENT OUTCOMES: Pigmentation outcomes close to native skin
A 31-year-old female sustained burns totaling 11% of the total body surface area (TBSA). A prior treatment was unsuccessful, so Spray-On Skin™ Cells were applied using the RECELL® System. In just 11 days following the treatment, the patient was discharged with 100% re-epithelization and no signs of infection or inflammation. Two months following the procedure, the patient continued to show re-pigmentation.

PATIENT OUTCOMES: Deep Partial-Thickness Facial Burn
A 40-year-old male sustained a deep partial-thickness burn to the face. Four days after the burn injury, the face was excised followed by placement of allograft. Twenty-four days after the injury, healing had not progressed, the wound bed was prepared and Spray-On Skin™ Cells were applied.
After application of Spray-On Skin™ Cells, within a week, the face was >95% re-epithelialized. This patient had a risk factor for wound healing due to smoking, but did not experience any treatment-related adverse events. Excellent long-term outcomes were achieved with color and texture matching that of surrounding uninjured skin.

PATIENT OUTCOMES: Deep Partial-Thickness Arm Burn
This case study demonstrates treatment of deep partial-thickness burn injuries with the RECELL® System. At 16 weeks, scar outcomes related to pigmentation and height were close to native skin.

PATIENT OUTCOMES: Patient with large, 58% TBSA burn achieved >95% wound closure within 28 days and positive long-term outcomes
A 15-month old female sustained a 58% TBSA full-thickness flame burn to the scalp, head, chest, back, bilateral arms and hands, and smaller areas on the bilateral lower extremities. The surgeon used Integra Dermal Regeneration Template® and a meshed split-thickness skin graft (STSG) in combination with RECELL® treatment. By day 28 all areas were >95% re-epithelialized post RECELL® treatment and at 1 year post burn, the physician reported the patient’s burn scars were mildly mismatched or matched in color (vascularity) and pigment.

PATIENT OUTCOMES: A 12-year old patient with full-thickness burns experienced definitive wound closure in 28-days and positive long-term outcomes
A 12-year old female sustained a 62% TBSA mixed-depth flame burn to the head, chest, back, and bilateral legs. The surgeon used the RECELL® System Spray- On Skin™ Cells in combination with Integra and widely meshed STSG on full-thickness burns. Following treatment, the patient experienced definitive wound closure within 28 days and positive long-term outcomes.
