IT Support Technician

What We Are Looking For:
The IT Support Technician position will be performing activities associated with configuring, installing, supporting and maintaining a wide range of IT software, hardware, and related services. This position requires excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills, ability to follow directions, and excellent communication skills to facilitate top level customer service to the end users.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Monitor helpdesk to provide day to day support for all users both on-site and remote.
- Resolve all hardware/software problems by either fixing the problem or escalating to the appropriate resource.
- Clearly and effectively communicate in a timely and respectful manner with end users.
- Build, configure, and install PC and MAC computers.
- Configure and deploy iOS and Android devices.
- Resolve network printing issues from connectivity to maintenance and part replacement.
- Support telecom connectivity and operation.
- Maintain inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
- Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while still maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Develop procedures to streamline the day to day IT operations.
Special Knowledge/Skill
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10-11.
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2008 – 2019.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
- Experience supporting and installing a variety of software applications.
- Familiarity with VMware ESXi or similar hypervisor.
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Intermediate network troubleshooting including DHCP, DNS, IP/subnets, VLAN and routing.
- Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and investigate independently.
- Self-motivated and clearly focused on the tasks assigned.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Experience
- 3+ years of desktop hardware and software support.
- 3+ years of mobile device support.
- Experience with help desk / ticketing system.
Education/Training
- High School Diploma
- Advanced training or degree desired

Periodic travel to Ventura Facilty
