Director of Professional Relations, Acute Wounds
The Director of Professional Relations is responsible for increasing the RECELL brand within the specialty of burn care and soft tissue injury reconstruction by building and strengthening relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), speakers, & professional societies and leading the comprehensive plans for conference & professional education activities.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive KOL engagement, Conference & Professional Education Plan leveraging support from a cross-functional team including Medical Affairs, Clinical, Marketing, Market Access, and Sales
- Determine key opinion leaders and build relationships (e.g., Tier 1, Tier 2); Identify KOL speakers for training, medical education, and/or media opportunities.
- Narrow down key national & regional conferences that appropriately fit RECELL’s key target audience & focus as a company
- Identify educational gaps & needs and develop comprehensive professional education plan.
- Lead monthly calls with cross-functional team to ensure alignment & determine key objectives for KOLs, Conferences & Med Ed
- Independently coordinate advisory meetings, 1:1 meetings (online or at meetings) and professional education meetings (live or webinar)
Candidate/Cultural Fit
The candidate should have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed with a preference toward working collaboratively in a cross-functional team organization. This role requires the ability to effectively work across functions and departments to succeed under continually changing circumstances. The ability to think big but at the same time rolling up the sleeves to execute. Willingness to travel ~40% (e.g., sales meetings, strategy meetings, conferences, etc).
Experience
- 7+ years of experience US devices/biologics/pharmaceutical/medical industry in professional relations
- Ability to complete projects with limited supervision
- Effective at quickly building and maintaining professional relationships
- Creative and strategic thinker and able to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail
- High energy, creativity, and aptitude for handling multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication, leadership and presentation skills are required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
